The Polk County Detention Facility holds approximately 25 inmates. These inmates are pre-trial detainees awaiting trial for their criminal charges and a few inmates that have been sentenced. The Detention Facility has approximately 9 full-time employees and part-time employees which assist in the functions of the Detention Facility.
The Detention Facility is also responsible for the care and transportation of inmates to and from court. The Detention Facility also maitains a facility in compliance with Local and State Inspections.
